The CSW200 swing-gate series uses a 2.5-inch square post bracket with a 7-inch bolt pattern; the SL3000 slide-gate series relies on a welded carrier bracket that rides an overhead track; the Miracle-One residential line uses lighter 2-inch tubing but with a proprietary offset that standard gate hardware doesn’t match.

To identify your model, check the Elite label on the motor housing, not the gate itself. The label lists the series and manufacturing date. For fabrication work, we also measure your existing bracket center-to-center and check wall thickness, because Elite changed from 3/16-inch to 1/4-inch plate on CSW200 brackets manufactured after 2019. We fabricate to the original spec or to the upgraded thickness, your choice, and we write both options into the quote before cutting any steel.

We are an independent service provider, not affiliated with Elite Access Systems. For OEM bracket replacements, we source through Elite’s parts network. For most Mesa jobs, we fabricate in-house using A500-grade steel that meets or exceeds the original wall thickness, typically at lower cost and with same-day turnaround instead of a 5-7 day OEM parts order.

Signs Your Elite Welding & Fabrication Is Failing

• Gate sags at the closed stop and the gap at the latch grows uneven. The bottom hinge bracket has cracked at the weld or the post itself has shifted in its concrete footing. In Mesa, we see this most often on east-facing gates where morning sun expansion followed by rapid afternoon cooling stresses the steel.
• Operator arm strains, hums, then reverses with no obstruction in the path. The gate is binding because a welded bracket has twisted or a track weld has lifted, creating drag that the motor reads as an impact. The limit switches are fine; the geometry is wrong.
• Visible rust streaks below any welded joint. Arizona’s dry climate doesn’t prevent condensation in hollow tubing, and Elite’s factory powder coat rarely extends fully inside bracket sleeves. Once rust bleeds through, the wall thickness is already compromised.
• Rattling or clanking that wasn’t present last season. A carrier bracket weld has cracked and the gate is shifting on its track or rollers. On SL3000 systems, this often starts at the midpoint of travel where dynamic load is highest.
• Gate hits the stop hard enough to bounce back open. The welded catch bracket has bent or the stop bolt has torn its weld, so the gate travels past its designed endpoint and the operator’s soft-stop logic can’t compensate for physical overtravel.

DIY or Call Us?

Look for fresh rust streaks or paint cracks that indicate movement. Photograph the problem from multiple angles; that documentation helps whoever ends up doing the work.

What we don’t recommend: cutting, grinding, or welding gate steel yourself. Gate brackets are structural components under dynamic load, and a weld that looks fine to the eye can fail under cyclic stress if the prep, penetration, or filler specification is wrong.
